Made by the Abrie Bruwer on his excellent Springfield Estate, this medium-bodied red has lovely crunchy bramble flavoured fruit with a nicely structured finish.
|
Robertson
A very hot, dry area between Swellendam and Worcester. This region has limey soil which is ideal for viticulture. Predominantly white wine is produced here with bulk wines from Colombard and Chenin, though there are small quantities of good quality Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. There is some experimentation with red varieties.

Chargrilled meats, herby sausages.
