The nose displays prominent tropical fruits with a hint of ripe pears. The wine is mouth filling with just a hint of sweetness, with excellent fruit weight including hints of tropical fruits and melon flavours.

Victoria
At the southernmost part of mainland Australia, Victoria is most famous for the sweet liqueur Tokay and Muscat of Rutherglen and Glenrowan, but it also boasts concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon, classy Pinot Noirs and rich Semillon and Chardonnay.
John Batman planted the first vines in Victoria at Yarra Yering in 1838. From being the most prolific region in the nineteenth century, it went through a slump in the first half of the 1900s but it was back on a high by the 1980s. It is a region of small wineries and growers principally producing red wines, although Great Western in the north-west is renowned as a quality sparkling wine area. Climate and soil vary immensely throughout the region, allowing for a wealth of wine styles and grape varieties of which the local industry is justly proud.
